Standardized analyses of acoustic telemetry data using the R packages actel and RSP

Acoustic telemetry users, look no further, this workshop is for you!

If you are using acoustic telemetry to track animals as they move inside a study area or as they migrate somewhere, actel and RSP are the packages for you. By bringing together the study area configuration and the recorded detections, actel provides a systematic way of analysing animal migration and residency data. The RSP package is a method for analysing the fine scale movements of aquatic animals tracked with passive acoustic telemetry in estuarine environments, that accounts for the surrounding land masses, by recreating detections so they occur exclusively in water. This workshop is proudly hosted by the European Tracking Network and the COST-Action.

Hugo Flávio and Yuri Niella, R packages developers, will present two approaches to analysing our spatial data from acoustic telemetry.

The webinar is free and will be hosted on Zoom from 2.00PM CET. Registration for the webinar is open here
